About the PPP

To strengthen the cooperation on scientific and academic research between Sri Lanka and Germany, the NSF and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) have launched a Joint Mobility Program for Project-Related Personnel Exchange (PPP).

This Joint Mobility Program aims to promote bilateral scientific cooperation in both countries by creating sustained networks between various Sri Lankan and German teams formed through individual research exchanges. As per the programme guidelines, DAAD provides funding for mobility of members of the German research group and their stays at the Sri Lankan partner institution. Due to factors beyond institutional control, NSF is not in a position to provide funds for mobility and hospitality of members of the Sri Lankan research group for stays at counterpart institution in Germany. However, this is an opportunity for Sri Lankan researchers who seek collaborative work with German researchers within Sri Lanka. We also encourage Sri Lankan researchers submitting proposals in partnership with industry and explore potential to secure funding from the industry for the said purpose.
