International Conference on "Biomimicry for Sustainability" held at GAP HQ on 23rd August 2024

The GAP HQ under the visionary leadership of Prof. Ranjith Dissanayake, President of IESL,  conducted an international conference on "Biomimicry for Sustainable Development" with special focus on "Nature-inspired Solutions for a Sustainable Future" on 23rd August 2024. GAP HQ is strongly committed to promoting biomimicry with a view to finding lasting solutions to man-made problems in a wide range of sectors and it has now become a hive of activity in Sri Lanka in this important field.

Emeritus Professor Ranjith Senaratne, Chairman, NSF was the chief guest  and Eng. Rohan Pethiyagoda, a distinguished scholar, was the keynote speaker at the opening ceremony. It was followed by technical presentations made by renowned scientists from home and abroad.
